With over 3.5 billion fans worldwide, football (“soccer”) is the most popular sport on the planet. It always ranks at the top of the majority of the credible lists published. No other sport is even close… that’s over half the planet!! Someone call Jim Everett to put this little snake back in his place!!
Allow some contact, call less fouls, smaller fields with less players (so its not just a 45 minutes of boring pass to the most open guy) an American will watch, guranteed. But can you blame this guyy after watching NFL athletes play their heart out its hard to take soccer seriously and its a shame because it is actually a cool sport.
Americans dont dislike soccer because they are out of shape, its just viewed as a childs sport in America(North). The dives and what appears to be weakness in soccer gives it a bad name. Old school soccer in my opinion was definitely better like many sports. When money becomes the main focus then quality is bounhd to suffer.
It’s like Mike Ditka decided to coach soccer. I like soccer sometimes, but it definitely does have some downsides. The guy seems to be trash talking much like anyone else would about a sport.
